A Male Sex Worker Mutual Support Network

Midnight Blue was founded by a group of male sex workers, labor rights supporters, scholars in gender studies and people who are concerned with sex rights. Midnight Blue is a non-government organization endeavoring to build a male sex worker support network in Hong Kong and Shenzen, China.

Our History

Prior to registering as an independent organization, Midnight Blue was formerly created as a male sex worker task force within Zi Teng in 2005, concerned with the increasing population of male sex workers and the HIV infection rate in the gay community.

Our Work

Outreach:

We get in touch with male sex workers in Hong Kong, providing our assistance for any problems they encounter in their professional lives. This includes information and assistance on legal issues, health awareness, and the rights they are entitled to.

Organizational work:

In the form of training courses and bulletins, Midnight Blue strives by advocating for a safer working environment and the elimination of dangers that male sex workers face at work.
 
HIV Testing:

Midnight Blue encourages and provides free rapid HIV/Syphilis testing services to male sex workers, anonymously where all information is kept strictly confidential.
 

Drop-in Center:

The Drop-In Center was created to maintain a space for male sex workers’ self development and is operated Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm. On Saturdays, our center is open for sexual minority groups. Please visit our website for more details.
